Dispute Resolution
Good dispute resolution should not stop at simply solving an issue – it should contribute to avoiding future costly disputes by building in better negotiation skills. I work with organisations to not only resolve disputes, but identify how to better approach opportunities for cooperation and creating value.
Corporate Capability
Negotiation is often viewed as an individual skill. But the outstanding organisations are now moving towards having negotiation as a corporate capability. Instead of relying on a few professional negotiators, their whole organisation is focused on creating and claiming value in negotiations with business partners. I can put together a programme that helps you make that transition.
Mediator
As a mediator, my mission is to help parties reach an agreement acceptable to both sides, and avoid costly litigation. My unique contribution is extensive international experience involving problem identification and helping parties negotiate innovative solutions.

Negotiator
Whether it is a new customer or supplier, a major purchase or a joint venture, having specialist negotiation advice can make the difference between success and failure, especially where the negotiation is international. For such project-type negotiations, my involvement can either be in the background providing questions and advice, or more direct involvement at the table.
Skill Development Workshops
Negotiation is like riding a horse, you have to practice to get better. Workshops provide an ideal situation to test and develop new skills. Negotiators are paired up and given a scenario with individual instructions to negotiate. Everyone then comes back as a group and we break down how everyone arrived at different agreements. These workshops are high-energy, creative, competitive and excellent learning environments, with each negotiation scenario having specific learning objectives.
Leadership Teams
Leaders need to be excellent negotiators to gain agreement from their colleagues, teams, customers and suppliers. Often as part of a wider leadership training programme, I focus on the skills that leaders need to develop and practice to take their organisations to the next level. Recognising that negotiation is going on constantly both internally and externally, leaders need to apprecaite that all agreements have an impact not only on relationships, but also as a precedent for future negotiations.
